Alejandro García has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). He joined the Department of Research and Innovation at the Institut Guttmann in 2004. He has participated in more than 20 research projects in Catalunya (Nexthealth RIS3CAT Community, TV3’s Maratón), in Spain (Plan CENIT, Strategic Health Action of the Instituto Carlos III, Plan Avanzado) and at European level (FP7, H2020). He is a professor on the Official Master’s degree in Neurorehabilitation and on the Official Master’s degree in Cognitive Stimulation and Neuropsychological Rehabilitation (Institut Guttmann and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona). His research interests include the generation and exploitation of structured and unstructured data on neurorehabilitation in subacute and chronic phases (social reintegration). He has more than 30 publications to his name, including journal articles and book chapters.
