Information sheet for study participants PARTICIPA

PARTICIPA is a project led by the Institut Guttmann in collaboration with the social entities of the Social and Participation Council of the institution, which has a multidisciplinary team of professionals and an Advisory Group made up of professionals and representatives of the associative sector, as well as experts of the academic field.

The main objective of the study is to identify the factors that make it difficult and / or facilitate the participation in society of people with disabilities on equal terms with the rest of the citizenry.

To achieve this goal, we suggest that you participate as a volunteer in the study. Their participation would consist of answering a series of questionnaires related to social participation from their computer or mobile phone, through their private profile, or on the Initiative’s website.

As part of the study, the researchers will periodically provide you with information and recommendations about your rights; as well as resources, services or general information of interest to promote the participation in society of all people under equal conditions.

Your participation in the study is and will be completely voluntary, and you can decide not to participate or change your decision to do so, withdrawing your consent at any time, without the need to give any justification or explanation in this regard.

Although we ask that you read this document carefully, do not hesitate to ask any questions or clarifications you may need through the email participa@guttmann.com

Through the questionnaires, you will be asked for information regarding:

  • Socio-demographic data, such as your age or place of residence.
  • Socio-economic aspects, such as their level of studies or employment situation.
  • Information regarding their participation in society in different areas of life.
  • Information on obstacles and / or factors promoting their social participation.

The study does not imply any associated physical or psychological risk for you. Your answers to the questionnaires will not pose any risk to you or have consequences related to your health.

It is likely that you will not receive any direct benefit from participating in this study. However, we hope that participation will allow you to raise awareness about the aspects that can benefit the participation in society of people with disabilities. From the scientific point of view, we hope that the results obtained with this research provide relevant information on what barriers and facilitators are determining factors for the participation in society of people with disabilities on equal terms with the rest of the citizenry.
